ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Yasuyuki Ishii began his career as an artist before later transitioning into a fashion designer. After gaining attention for his sculptural works and receiving numerous awards, he began his activities in the world of fashion.

Because his creations are intricate and highly original, they are not suited for mass production, but they have always been supported by enthusiastic fans. His work is presented at fashion shows primarily in Paris and throughout Europe.

In recent years, he held a show at the Smithsonian museum in Washington, D.C., in the United States. He has also held shows at venues including the FUGA gallery in Budapest, Hungary, and the Central Museum of Art.

Breathing life and movement into the still.

I want the clothes I design to fill the wearer with a sense of exhilaration.

Every time I create something, it is an experiment.
The risks are high. Even so, I refuse to compromise just to move forward.

At the root of it all lies the beauty and passion I believe in.
